ABSTRACT: The Role of Augmented Reality in Enhancing Vocational Learning Experiences investigates the potential of augmented reality (AR) to improve vocational education by providing immersive and interactive learning environments. This study examined the impact of AR on vocational learning experiences and outcomes. The objectives were: to evaluate the effectiveness of AR in enhancing student engagement and understanding of complex concepts, to assess the impact of AR on skill acquisition and retention, and to identify best practices for integrating AR into vocational curricula. A survey design was employed to collect comprehensive data from students, educators, and technology experts, enabling an in-depth analysis of AR's educational benefits. A sample size of 250 respondents was selected using a purposive sampling technique to ensure participants with relevant experience were included. The case study focused on the Federal Science and Technical College, Lagos State. Findings revealed that AR significantly enhanced student engagement, improved understanding of complex concepts, and increased skill retention. It was recommended that vocational institutions should explore opportunities for incorporating AR into their curricula, provide training for educators on the effective use of AR technologies, and invest in the necessary infrastructure to support AR applications in vocational education.
